Happy 54th Birthday Grandpa Rick
Max and family, Nick and family and Rick and I went up to Beaver Mountain for a beautiful 55 degree spring skiing trip to celebrate Rick's birthday that was on March 1st. Jasmine and I spent some quality time in the lodged with kids when they were done skiing. Max and Nick snowboarded. Brigitte, Rick, Mason and Natalie skied. Then we went home for pizza and board games.
What a great way to spend a beautiful sunny Saturday!

Luke's letter of love!
*I've started my annual "blues" and have become somewhat a hermit, coming out only for work, tending Grandchildren, or doing church calling...thinking positive has been a challenge! Rick has been gone for most of November, December, January, and February. So, I haven't had his love and support.
*This letter from Luke really cheers me up! Thank-you to all who understand depression and help me when they can!
*Ending on a positive note, my new favorite quote is: "Music washes from the soul the dust of everyday living." so, I close and will go listen to "Sounds for Sunday" on the radio.
Phoenix out of hospital
-O.K. I'm finally getting around to expressing my feelings about Phoenix (my granddaughter) and her hospital stay. I was scared that she might not come through this bout of RSV. I have grown so in love with her. She is happy, trusting, and oh so adorable. Her courage is amazing! The love she gives is so pure.
-I am happy that she is home...I missed her very much.
-I am also amazed at her mother's love and devotion. Both Nick and Jasmine are awesome the way they help their children become involved in the things they CAN do. I am in awe with all they do to help both Phoenix and Isis feel loved and secure. The children are dependent on their parents to keep them alive. I'm am grateful for Nick and Jasmine and all they do as parents and partners!
