Check out my new hair cut, for me it is really short, especially in the back.

Mabel is Baptised
I went to help out Dad and my Other Mother last week. I drove them to Dr. and store. At the end of the week we went to Mabel's Baptism. (Rick drove up.) Then we planted gardens & cleaned out the spa and room. We had to leave them because we wore them out. So, this week I'm catching up on all that needs done here.

I was not the best teenager driver
This is the kind of car my mom drove, a Metropolitan. I got to drive it as a teenager or “drag main”
with it. The gears would sometimes stick and I
knew just how to make them stick if I wanted to catch the attention of a carload of cute boys. They stopped and tried to help
while my friend, Greta, and I flirted.
It always worked with the tourist boys.
After awhile all the local boys knew what I was up to and it didn’t work
on them.
One time (just before I went off to college) we parked mom's car and drove around with some boys. We drove out to see the cabin on
the Lake they were staying at. Very innocent, we didn’t stay long because we
had to get back so my mom have the car. Not so fun was my first time home from college,
Christmas break. The police came to our
home and grilled me I about the cabin we visited. Greta and I both explained what happened. We were believed, thank goodness! It seems the
boys were not staying at the cabin but had broken in and stolen some things. Luckily, Greta and I told the same stories and
we weren’t charged with anything.
Another time I was driving dad’s car, a ford 500. Greta and I went to eat fries and a coke at Connie’s
Restaurant. As we were leaving, I backed out and hit the
bumper of the car behind me.
Greta got out and said there was no damage so we just drove back
home. Fifteen minutes later the police
were at my house saying we had been in a hit and run car accident. It had been reported by someone in the
parking lot. Dad was so mad and I was so scared, I didn’t think any damage was
caused! We had to give our insurance
information and go talk to the owner of the other car. After all the hull-a-balloo the other car was
not damaged and no charges were made.
Anyway, that's how I remember the events. Pat

10 Commandments
While I was in California for Isis' baptism. The Missionaries came to teach him his last missionary discussion. He taught the Ten Comandments using his fingers. I was so impressed I taught it to my Primary cass today, they loved it! I just finished making this visual aid and post it so others may use it too.

My Spring Break
Day 1: Brigitte, Mason, Natalie and I left Saturday March 31st for Natalie's gymnastics meet in Ogden. From there we headed to San Bruno California to see Nick, Jasmine, Isis and Phoenix. Our car was buffete3d by high winds all day. We went through 3 sandstorms and stopped in Reno to spend the night. The Donner Pass was closed unless you had chains on your tires. Brigitte was a trouper so the kids gave her a massage, then we all went to bed.
Day 2: We woke up, ate, then drove through the pass and all the way to Nick's house without any difficulties. The kids were so happy to see each other.
Day 4: Wow! Went to Golden Gate Park and to a Science Center where we saw animal, fish, butterflies and more. The best part was an exploration room I liked the albino alligator, the frogs that looked like the were made from clay, and the jellyfish.
DAY 5: Today we went to a Mall. I spent time with the girls at Build-a-Bear workshop and they both got to take one home. Daisy for Phoenix and Ally for Natalie. The boys divided their time between the LEGO store and Games Workshop store. Isis took home LEGOS and Mason took home an X-box 360 game. Then we went to the fabulous place called the Exploratorium. Of course, the boys loved seeing scat from different animals.Lots and lots of this to do and see. I've always wanted to sit in a giant chair and now I have done it.
DAY 6-8: Jasmine's family arrive from Australia. We visited went shopping and played board games. Max and Rick arrived (they flew in) We ate at a great sea food place in downtown San Francisco and visited the Redwood Forest. We celebrated Easter with a coloring activity and egg hunt. We attended Isis Baptism and Confirmation. Then we drove home. I had a great Spring break.

10 weeks of pottery class over
Well, my pottery class is over and I learned a lot. I even tried my hand a two types of clay together to make a marbled effect. I like the way my bowls turned out except for the pottery that was all dark clay. They didn't take the glaze color very well so the colors aren't as vibrant. Enjoy looking! Family members can make a request for a particular piece and they MAY get the one they want. Rick get first pick.

I made 26 more quilts.
Gave away 8 to Sally's family and 3 to Rebbecca Hume's children. (I visit teacher her.)
Now, I plan to give the rest to CAPSA.
I got to spend last week in Idaho Falls visiting with Sally and Family. While there we celebrated Samuel's 1st birthday. Also this month Sally and Andy have birthdays. So the whole week was one big party.
