The best thing of Christmas is Christ! Next comes family. We were happy to spend our time at each family's home enjoying them and sharing our love.
Words are the soul's ambassadors, who go abroad upon her errands to and fro. --James Howell--

Christmas Pizza Party
Rick and I drove up to Idaho Falls before Christmas. While we were up there we had his annual Christmas Pizza Party at Pizza Hut. They opened our presents to them, so I could see their faces. Dad got a cookbook with Isis's art work. He Sat down and started looking at it right away. He loved it! Kaye got a painting called "Joy" done by Jasmine. She was so happy she had to put it on the floor by the tree so she could keep looking at it. For me it was a very wonderful trip. We had a great time being together, we even put together a puzzle,,,Dad was able to put in the last two pieces (with a little help) I saw dad crying his happy cry several time during the visit.Wish all the family had been there. xoxo Pat

Leven Thumps Robe
My grandson Mason, soon to be 11 years old, asked me to make him a robe, from one of the Leven Thumps books, for his Birthday. After hours of designing and sewing this is what it looks like. While I was working on the robe my other grandson, Isis, was home from school, due to illness. He was working on his superman project.

Three Men and a Mermaid
Here is a comic strip I created using http://www.pixton.com/ comic maker. Yes, of course I did it for my class. I found the joke online and thought it would make a great comic. What do you think? I believe you can also view it at http://www.pixton.com/comic/pkm4oy4b xox Pat

Spooky fun for Halloween
We had our Halloween party on Saturday October 23rd. We had 12 inch cookies to decorate. Sally's family took 1st place, Max's family took 2nd place and Nick's family took 3rd. Rick and I had the honor of last place. But we didn't care I think we had the most fun because we had Nell, Mable and Paul on our team.
We played charades, ate a lunch of soup and bread, and had a great time visiting. I am so lucky that I have all of my family in the same town. And even more blessed that we all like getting together.
Our guests came in costumes and Max and Mason even gave us a demonstration of what they have been learning in the martial arts class.
Hope you have a Happy Halloween!
xoxo Pat
Sally's visit to Tremonton Sept 2010
Rick and I set a goal to see our parents once a month...(that is one or the other each month.0 In September we went to Tremonton Isis and Phoenix and Sally's family went too. It was a great visit! Dad and Kaye stopped here and spent the night in September so it was our turn to go this month (October) to see them...it is the 24th and I'm not sure we will make it this month.

New Costumes
I made 3 Medieval dresses for Halloween costumes. They are girls sizes, 8, 7, and 6.
The gold and blue is a recycled bedspread with new blue lining fabric for sleeves.
The blue and black is made from fabric from DI. I used a black sheet for lining of sleeves.
The brown and gold is made from new brown cotton and the sleeves are from a former pillow cover.
I'm loaning them to three friends and will keep them in my costume closet or let Brigitte use them for photography.
