4th family of Christmas

On Dec 26th we went to Tremonton for the Annual Party with Keith and Cleo. We ate visited and exchanged white elephant gifts. It's always fun to see the nieces and nephews with children of their own. Much fun and love!

3rd family of Christmas

Rick, Nick and I spent Christmas Day and evening with Max's family. We had breakfast together (Max cooked bacon & eggs). The we opened presents and spent the day together lounging and visiting. At 3:00 we ate dinner (turkey and all the trimmings)and after a quick clean-up we played board games into the late night. Fun!

Oops, almost forgot! I ran over to Sally's house and took photos of her kids by the presents we gave.

We don't have pictures of Jasmine, Isis, or Phoenix...the lucky WARM guys spent Christmas in Australia. Miss them a lot!

2nd family of Christmas

This was a new visit for us. It is the first time Sally and Andy have stayed home for Christmas. So, we got to spend ALL Christmas Eve day and evening with them. Luke, Mabel and Nell had just recovered from the flu and Lily and Paul were just starting to get it. But we all "faced our fears" and did what we had planned. We headed out with sleds to find a good hill. We ended up at the new park at the AVA building and had great fun!

After our fun in the snow we came home, had hot chocolate and sandwiches, and played games ALL afternoon.

Finally, Andy got home from work and we had a fancy dinner of: chicken cordon blue, chessey potatoes, corn on the cob and for desert Ule log (cake and ice cream rolled together). Sally had asked for new dishes as her present. So she opened it early and was so delighted. We surprised her with goblets too!
Sally has been teaching the children piano lesson. So, we had a fantastic recital. Each one played 2 or 3 songs. I was impressed with their skills!

Next, Andrew read the Nativity story from the New Testament and the rest of the family acted it out. (some of these photos were staged because I was in it too!)

The last event before bedtime was opening one present...and surprise each received new pj's.Merry Christmas to all and to all a good-night!

1st family of Christmas

We had a great Christmas with family this year. Our first visit took us to Idaho Falls and on the way home we stopped in Preston to see the lights. (where my camera battery died)

At Dad's, Rick and I sang at Lincoln Court Retirement Center. This is where Dad and Kaye go to church. They can sit a short foot or two from the speakers. Dad can finally hear and see just a little bit of what is going on.

As usual Dad was cheerful and as usual Kaye had been busy making afagans and hats for humanitarian projects. They(afagans and hats) went to the Veterens Hospital and SLC Fire Department. What wonderful examples they are in their later years.
It is so welcoming every time I go there. To bad we could only stay Monday & Tuesday, Dec. 21 & 22.

Merry Christmas from Rick and Pat Clause

We had our family Christmas party on Sunday December 13th. We ate dinner, played games, and the kids played with play dough. We also had an art activity. We had a wonderful time being together in our lovely little home!

I forgot to take any photographs but I did save the art projects.

To make the art project cut an 8x10 piece of paper into thirds. Then fold each piece into thirds. Everyone get a piece of paper and draws a head on the top 1/3. We pass the papers to another person and we don't look at the head that was drawn. On the middle third we draw a body and again pass it to another person (who doesn't look at the previously draws body parts). Then we draw the legs and feet. At last we open the papers on and view the amazing Christmas creatures that we drew.

Here are our Christmas creatures!

Our latest project

Our daugter, Sally, ask us to make a doll closet for her daugter, Lily, for Christmas. She sent us to the internet to get an idea of what she wanted but could not afford. Here is what we saw on the web, at a price of $349.00 and it was sold out.

Here is what we made for under $50.00. We really like the way it turned out.
