Merry Christmas from Rick and Pat Clause

We had our family Christmas party on Sunday December 13th. We ate dinner, played games, and the kids played with play dough. We also had an art activity. We had a wonderful time being together in our lovely little home!

I forgot to take any photographs but I did save the art projects.

To make the art project cut an 8x10 piece of paper into thirds. Then fold each piece into thirds. Everyone get a piece of paper and draws a head on the top 1/3. We pass the papers to another person and we don't look at the head that was drawn. On the middle third we draw a body and again pass it to another person (who doesn't look at the previously draws body parts). Then we draw the legs and feet. At last we open the papers on and view the amazing Christmas creatures that we drew.

Here are our Christmas creatures!

Our latest project

Our daugter, Sally, ask us to make a doll closet for her daugter, Lily, for Christmas. She sent us to the internet to get an idea of what she wanted but could not afford. Here is what we saw on the web, at a price of $349.00 and it was sold out.

Here is what we made for under $50.00. We really like the way it turned out.

Pumpkin Walk photos from camera

Nick and I took his children and Sally's children to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk on Friday, October 23rd. I forgot my camera so had Nick take photos of each child standing behind the character of choice. He used my phone and took one of each child but these are the only ones that made it into save mode. Today I had a work friend show me how to send them. So, with mutual effort and team work here are the photos of Paul, Mabel, Phoenix and Isis. xoxo Pat

Fall Folliage Cruise Sept 25-Oct 3, 2009

We started our trip in New York City, on to Boston, Massachusetts; then to Portland & Kennebunkport, Maine; next was Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and finally Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The weather wasn't cold enough to create any fall colors except in Halifax.

It was fun to have Rick with me on this trip but I really got spoiled in Scotland and will compare all my trips to that one. So far Scotland ranks #1. Our trip home was delayed by 3 hours as we sat in our plane on the tarmac in JFK Airport in New York.

We are home safely and really love to return to our light and clean home in Logan. Where the fall colors are spectacular and we have snow in the mountains.

New York was my favorite spot...I've ALWAYS wanted to see the Stature of Liberty! And I did!

Rick tried his voice at Karaoke, and loved it. He is singing with Kerry, and Bruce.
This is one of our "Fun for Less tour guides" On one at sea day he did his Elvis Show and on another he did his magic and ventriloquist show. He was awesome.

Here Rick is on the last day...we were waiting for the bus to arrive to take us to the airport. What a great trip!

Hope you enjoyed the virtual trip with us!

New friends from our cruise

We had a great time on our Fall Foliage Cruise and will post photos soon. But thought it very interesting to meet 5 other ladies named Pat on the trip. We became friends with two of them. Both are named Patricia Ann Christensen. They married brothers and that is why the have the same name. So, here we all are on our last day of the cruise. Left to right: Dick & Pat (from Texas) Pat & Rick; and Pat & Bruce (from SLC).

Preston, England Temple

While in Scotland several of wanted to go to England. We wanted to see if there was much difference between the places. So we took a train down to Preston (the suburb it was at is called Chorley) and attended the Temple. Two of us did endowments and 4 did baptisms for the dead. It was one of the most beautiful Temples I've seen. The Celestial room had one whole wall in windows with yellow inlaid glass. When I walked into the Temple I felt, "at home." And when I walked into the Celestial room I felt how I imagined Joseph Smith saw Christ and Heavenly Father. It was so bright it was almost blinding! I LOVED IT!
