October 2017 LDS General Conference

I really enjoyed the Women's Conference and Sharon Euank's talk really touched me.

The story was great, the delivery was professional, the 4 points were very spot on, 

but the idea about spiritual gifts really rang true with my heart,

Quilting again!

A neighbor replenished my stock of quilting material. 

She decided she didn't like sewing so gave all of her material to me. 

In exchange I made her a twin size quilt and pillow case.

We both are happy!

Re-purposed Window Valance

I just love making a cute quilt from items I find at DI. 

Here is my latest creation.

I enlisted Rick's help and in 4 hours we created this! Fun, fun, fun! Now I hope many people drive or walk by and smile. It was made with love for the masses.

2016 Winter Depression Solution

OK, It's time to talk about my depression. It is really really bad during the winter month, especially this year. So, I thought I'd use my creativity to cheer up. Thus the snow creations.

Then I woke up 1 1/2 days after finishing the lego man and found this

There were both human footprints and deer hoof prints around it. Sad! So then anger kicked in and I  poured all of my anger into my this current snowman. 




Well, that worked wonders,I feel better than I have in weeks! FIE ON YE DEMONS OF THE DARK AND DESTROYERS OF SNOWMAN. I win!

Halloween Party 2015

It is the day before Thanksgiving and I finally got my Halloween booklet finished.

September 2015 Visiting Teaching Bookmark-Powerful and Full of Glory-

The scriptures teach us that Jesus Christ “received all power, both in heaven and on earth, and the glory of the Father was with him” (D&C 93:17). Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said that by this power our Savior created the heavens and earth, performed miracles, and endured the pain of Gethsemane and Calvary. As we come to understand this, our faith in Christ will increase, and we will become stronger.

As we make and keep temple covenants, the Lord blesses us with His power. Linda K. Burton, Relief Society general president, said: “Covenant keeping strengthens, empowers, and protects. … I recently met a dear new friend. She testified that after she had received her temple endowment, she felt strengthened with power to resist temptations.”

Nephi bears testimony of covenant power: “I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended … upon the covenant people of the Lord, … and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory” (1 Nephi 14:14).

European Alpine Adventure 2015
