This piece is called "Dragonstar." We had a great Christmas. Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Max and family. The Friday before they spent the day with us at our house.  While they were here I made Brigitte, Mason and Natalie neck cozies (filled with wheat, put in microwave to heat, then put on sore muscles.)  Ahhhhh, that feels good!

As I was walking yesterday I took a few photos. I love being outside. It grounds me and I feel peaceful. As you can see we are experiencing winter in the mountains and autumn in the valleys. We had great fun at our annual Halloween Party. This year each family DID NOT follow a theme. Too busy with life and moving to "get it together." Each quilt is made from fabric purchased from DI for about $1.00-2.00 a yard.  Every time we give one away the people are so over come with emotion they cry.  Oh,  how sweet!

My grandson Mason, soon to be 11 years old, asked me to make him a robe, from one of the Leven Thumps books, for his Birthday. We had our Halloween party on Saturday October 23rd. Rick has taken our Grandsons to the Annual Air Show for remote aircraft for about 5 years or more.  This year was no exception.  I went along to help out if help was needed.  But our little Paul (almost 2 years old) had a cold and had to stay home. Hello Family and Friends,Happy 4th of July.  I spent July 2nd and 3rd in Idaho Falls with my Dad and wife Kaye.  The city has a great tradition of carrying over 2000 flags down 17th street and planting them in a field for all to view.  You can volunteer to carry a flag and can carry it in the name of someone you know who served in the armed forces. Friday April 16 in Salt Lake City Isis was granted his wish. He wanted to go to Lego Land so on April 20 he and his immediate family will go (all expenses paid) to Lego Land and also to Disneyland. Natalie and Isis won Wilson School's PTA reflections contest for the second year in a row. The theme was "Beauty Is..." For Christmas (from my other mother, Kaye Baugh) I received two afghans. One, oatmeal in color with brown flecks, in a waffle weave pattern! Made by Kaye. My Dad has two new hobbies, leather work and, and copper work. For Christmas last year I received the copper work in a frame and have it hanging in my house. Rick, Nick and I spent Christmas Day and evening with Max's family. We had breakfast together (Max cooked bacon & eggs). The we opened presents and spent the day together lounging and visiting. Nick and I took his children and Sally's children to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk on Friday, October 23rd. We started our trip in New York City, on to Boston, Massachusetts; then to Portland & Kennebunkport, Maine; next was Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and finally Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm now in Stromness for 1 week...today we saw the Ring of Brodghar- which is 30 standing stones from the year 2000-3000 BC. They sit right next to the sea. We went to church today. We arrived just before the sacrament (had a hard time finding the building) so we had the bread in the hall and moved into the chapel for the water. There we 13 of us and about 30 of them. We stayed and chatted for a bit and then came home. We spent all day Sunday at the highland games. Our first really big downpour arrived...they moved the dancers into a gym so we followed them after about 1 hour the rain stopped and we had a lovely day watching the "BIG MEN THROW THE CABER" We all had a great time. We took an all day hike to the beautiful lake in the Highlands...lots of heather growing. We spent time at a very gorgeous cliffs at Arbroath Harbor on the north sea! We even soaked our feet!Sterling Castle was soooooooo awesome they even had a mock "storming the castle" by the tourist children dressed in costumes.
